ID4A Technologies is a global design technology company and R&D Lab based in San Francisco that specializes in the design and development of platform solutions and software tools to support custom design-to-manufacturing processes using advanced manufacturing and robotic technologies. We collaborate with corporate R&D labs, startup companies, inventors, engineers and designers to develop their product ideas from early concept, to prototype, manufacture and distribution to market.
ID4A Technologies was named ‘Best Entrepreneurial Company in America’ by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2016, and was recognized by the White House Office of Technology Policy at the Champions of Change ceremony for fostering the development of advanced manufacturing in the United States and the World.
Since our founding in 2011, we have been thinking about a world defined by Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), Industrial Robots, Large-Sclae Networks, Mixed Reality and Machine Vision Technologies to accelerate design-to-manufacturing workflows. What we do at ID4A is ask, "How can we reinvent design processes given that reality?"
The company focuses its creative energies on solving problems located at the intersection where industry and design meet with technology on the base of developing and producing novel Cloud-based applications. We believe that a deep understanding of the creative consumer needs and design-to-manufacturing workflows is essential to developing tools and applications that designers and businesses can embrace and value. In that sense, we are “design workflows-focused” inventors in a world filled with new technologies.
We founded ID4A as a privately held R&D company in Los Angeles in 2011. We initiated a series R&D projects to develop novel technologies that can support the iterative design prototyping cycle. The company has been focused on creating innovative applications that work with wide variety of design-to-manufacturing processes which is the drive behind our developments. In 2014, we based ID4A Headquarters and Research Lab in San Francisco to continue our developments for further applications.
